Recording Labels and fairness
While looking at the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, I came across this link. The recording labels would not allow you to play back the music you paid for in a format of your choice; nor will they allow you to copy it to a player of your liking. But, they have no qualms about short-changing the musicians.
They of course, have no qualms about claiming stringent copyright protections is for the benefit of artistes!!!!
